Hi there,

I got this XB271HU monitor a week ago and now today I noticed the vertical line bug , a simple on off solved it for temporary, I read through this now "closed topic"
But REAL solution is not has been mentioned so far, is there any1 in the known universe even got it working and repaired this fault in an Acer service center?

    Hi @Buci
The temporary solution is to power off the monitor, then power it back on when the issue occurs. This issue is related to the NVIDIA firmware and only happens when G-sync is enabled. You can turn off G-sync to prevent the issue from occurring.
Verify that the monitor has firmware version 20170206 or newer installed on the monitor. You can find instructions for checking the firmware at https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/39560

You can also check with Acer support in your region to fix this issue.
    Acer Hungary : https://www.acer.com/ac/hu/HU/content/service-contact
    Acer Worldwide : http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/

Yeah, I know about the temporary fix, and the regional service told there is a new 2019 fw update to fix the issue, but I'm don't want to send in for a fw update, and get back a whole diffrent panel, or damaged one.

I also need this firmware.  How do I go about obtaining it to install myself?  I cannot send this monitor in to some service location to resolve this.

You can't do it yourself, only via Acer service unfortunatly :(
