I have a M.2 SSD with windows already on it. I want to migrate my OS from my HDD to my SSD, however the ssd does not show up at all when I am booted in my HDD. When I boot from the ssd the hdd is detected. How can I transfer the OS from my HDD to my SSD.

    (1) How did Windows already get on the m.2 card? What Windows version?

    (2) What is your full ACER model number?

ssd not showing up in windows due to many reasons. one of the most common reasons is that the computer cannot recognize the file system of SSD drive. you need to format it to NTFS or FST32.
to migrate os to ssd, you need to use a disk cloning software like AOMEI Backkupper. this software offers you a feature called system clone. you can use it to clone the system and switch out the old hdd and change boot order in bios, then boot from ssd. before you delete the hdd, you need to make sure that  your computer can boot successfully.
