Why is this phone defective? T02

I bought an Acer smart phone about two months ago, put a few apps on it and it worked fine until recently. Now I get constant messages that I cannot receive new emails or text messages because my internal storage is too low (despite the fact that I deleted all emails from my account and deleted almost all apps), and I cannot move anything to my SD card. I am starting to wonder if I made a mistake in purchasing this phone.

    Try this

    Free up internal memory space

How can I free up memory on my Android device?

To free up space on the internal storage memory of an Android smartphone or tablet, you can erase the temporary files of applications. For some applications, you can optionally move this so-called cache memory to the SD card.

    1. Open the Applications tab and tap Settings.
    2. Tap Applications, and next tap Manage applications.
    3. Tap the application, and next tap Erase Cache.
    4. If available for the particular application, tap Manage Space and next Cache to SD card
Note: The SD card needs to remain in the SD card slot all the time.
