Hi all! So i just received this laptop yesterday from newegg. The HDD is not showing up in my pc, disk management and even in BIOS.
The HDD IS in the computer. I even unplugged and re-plugged it back. Am i looking at a defect HDD or am i missing something?

Thanks!

The reason why this happens is because the SATA mode is set to RST with Optane. By changing it to AHCI it will probably detect the drive.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

I did that but couldn't boot afterwards because of a inaccessible boot device error. I did a Reset Your PC and i can now boot to windows in AHCI but the HDD still isn't there.

Did you check if the HDD appears in BIOS now?
