Predator G9-591 - No OS and can't load BIOS

I noticed that there is a BIOS update that fixes the issue of not being able to boot into BIOS without an OS...  Sadly this discovery happened after a virus deleted my Windows folder.  I have no way of getting into the BIOS to update it.

I have tried:
- USB boot
- DVD boot
- Network boot
- installing an OS on the HDD with it plugged into my desktop, then putting it back in the laptop.
- unplugging the laptop battery and CMOS battery for an hour, then trying again.

No matter what I do, the laptop just loads to the Predator logo and sits there.  I have tried every combo of botton presses I can find to access BIOS and Boot Menus, but nothing works.

I am assuming BIOS is set to secure boot on, which is why none of my boot methods have worked.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Many thanks,
JellyJon :)

What OS did you try booting from USB? Try Linux Live USB and see if that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion! I gave it a go after your suggestion but it didn't work.

I was previously trying to load Win10.

I will try loading Linux Live on the HDD using my desktop and then seeing if the laptop will boot it that way.

@JellyJon this is a weird one i never saw this issue before of not being to boot into bios without os installed by default all laptops/desktops are able to boot into bios as long as they have ram properly installed even without any devices attached hdd/cd-dvdrom etc if you state u cannot boot into bios by pressing F2 on boot u might consider maybe a faulty sodimm it's the only thing that comes to my mind but again a faulty sodimm would not even boot it would give you black screen without any logo at all and regarding the secure boot yes it has to be disabled from bios by entering a supervisor password first and by what you stated seems you had formatted your hdd/sdd or what happened to stop working suddendly ? If u dind't formatted it u would still be able to do a acer factory recovery but seems might be too late now and the hidden acer recovery partition is long gone and your windows usb drive how did u created it, the partition has to be gpt not mbr download the windows iso and use rufus (if you didn't did it already) i'm affraid i don't have any more suggestions on this issue as i never seen anyone not being able to get into bios before unfortunately

I'm having the same issue and just found this thread after creating my own thread here. Could you manage to resolve this issue?
