Hello Acer Community,

I do have an Acer Aspire ES1-132 Notebook and I'm wondering if there is a way to enter the advanced settings in the UEFI.

Is there any possible way?

Any Help is appreciated.

Greetings from Germany.

    Gern geschehen.
I don't think that the Advanced tab will help installing Linux. In Scarboro's thread, he notes: "Acer omitted the UEFI option "Trusted EFI file for executing" from their E and F series computers".
    Suggestions:
    1) use his thread as a guide.
    2) disable Secure Boot.
    3) refer to this tutorial.
    Viel Erfolg.

It cannot be as simple as Fn + Tab, in the video below.
Found this thread for your model, but respondent said unlock for ES1-512 would not work. Read elsewhere that Acer UEFI screen is rather spartan.

Found another video which advised pressing Fn + Tab 3 times in the UEFI screen.  If it works, fine; if not, no harm done.
If it is not possible to unlock the Advanced tab, let us know your objective & we will try to come up with a work-around.

    Hello!

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I tried your suggestions, but they didn't work.

As for my objective ... I'm trying to install Linux Mint on this Machine (Acer Aspire ES1-132), but with no luck so far. (After succesfully installing and rebooting the machine, it tells me: 'No bootable device.)

So I was wondering if there are more options in the advanced settings to make Linux Mint run on my machine.

' Yesterday I got a suggestion (how to install Linux Mint), so I'll try this first.

But I would be still interested in accessing the advanced settings, if somebody knows how.

    Thanks again for your help.

In fact, it is possible to unlock the hidden page which is the advanced page and I have just successfully unlocked every single setting in the bios of my acer es1-311. However, you might need an external programmer for it...

There are thousands of applications, software for Acer works good for my Acer as well only thing you need to know is that Acer made homepage to communicate with customers Acer won`t show or recommend these software on your Acer model you just need to go every Acer model and you will get these strange applications like for camera and so on one great software was Acer live update as well try it, I was have lot of BIOS this Advanced BIOS is locked in this Acer Aspire version so I just made conclusion to buy Acer is wrong, BIOS is not controllable like my HP is any normal BIOS is controllable not this why should I need to brake they original made device to use it Advanced mode it works I guess with Linux with what Taiwan device called Acer is made up just 0 need to set to 1 I never tried to do it because Acer originally is made ***** so allowed to stay it like it is originally made, cheapest CPU for is 1000-2000$ USD, so cheaper is bought any other manufacture computer, it allows only Intel CPU to be upgraded not AMD like it have originally, so it looks like Acer ***** it is with its BIOS, as I guess it`s maenad for it to never be controlled make you emaciated to even imagine that to access BIOS you must hack it not just set some multipliers from 1.5GHz 15x multiplier to about 20x multiplier 2.0Ghz, Over clock CPU 100x20 was been good idea since Acer originally is ***** I just let it show what it is.

I've got the same model of a laptop, so could you, please, describe the process of unlocking the bios advanced features, that you did earlier? If anyone here is still alive,  pls, give an opinion how to unlock advanced tab for Acer es1-311 and similar models
