I bought an Acer Predator Helios 300 on May 16,2018
Model: PH315-51
CPU: i5 8300H @ 2.3GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2666 (1333MHz)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti
SSD:128 GB (unknown)
HDD:WD 1 TB
I want to ask about the ram upgrade in my laptop, its having an unknown brand (maybe Hynix) 8GB DDR4 but clocked at 1333 MHz. I searched for its alternative but couldn't find anything... Also there's no such DDR4 ram clocked at 1333MHz (as per my findings on tomshardware) . I want to upgrade with my additional ram so plz suggest any ram stick compatible with this ram mentioned above. I couldn't find the product even on the web so couldn't demonstrate it properly; so please do the needful work of searching.
Also regarding SSD upgrade its also a Hynix SSD M.2 128 GB stick. I want to know the max capacity or compatibility of this laptop for upgrades and which SSD should be installed (please suggest cheaper SSDs as I am a budget entry level gamer and will upgrade till 240 or 250 GB only)
And last thing I want to add is that SSD is defective as told by my acer service executive (image below with useful statistics)
THANK YOU

    Memory:
This model has 2 DIMM socket that supports memory size per socket 4GB/8GB/16GB
It supports maximum memory size Total 32GB
Supports DIMM Speed DDR4 2400/2666 with DIMM voltage 1.2V and DIMM package 260-pin DDR4 SODIMM.
Some of the officially listed 16GB and 8 GB memory modules.

Storage : HDD up to 1TB and SSD  up to 512GB.
    Storage 1 : M.2 2280 for SSD (PCIe/SATA Co-lay)
    Storage 2 : 9.5mm/7mm co-lay (Support HDD Door)

After installing the SSD, download Minitool partition wizard free program, run it as admin, use migrate feature( at the top), after the completion of migration, remove the HDD and try to boot with only the SSD, after confirming everything is fine, you may delete the OS from the HDD and use it for storage.

You have 2666MHz RAM but it likely is NOT running at 2666MHz. The SPD tab in CPU-Z reports the max speed and frequency of the RAM but not the actual running speed. Post a screenshot of the Memory tab of CPU-Z. I'd be willing to bet that the "DRAM frequency" shows something that is about 1200MHz, which is the configured frequency.

That said, if you are interested in getting extra RAM, search to see if you can find memory modules that exactly match the string you see in CPU-Z's "Part Number" field. Another easier possibility is to buy memory based on Kingston's "Memory Finder". They have recommendations for your machine:

If you are in India, you can visit the nearest Acer service center in your region and upgrade the SSD and memory modules.

Thanks for the help but since my SSD is defective can I ask the service centre executive to replace SSD by new one as per my warranty??
And is it okay to upgrade with less frequency ram because it has a very rare 2666mhz ram which I need to buy outside my state. I'm not able to find in my area. Can I install 2400mhz ram ? Will it be fine and plz tell me what will happen in this combination, will I get faster speed?

One last question plz tell me how can I replace my SSD at any service center as its in warranty? And do I need to send any repair request again because its of no use as I have used it once due to abnormal freezes which was due to bios. So the case ID (what they say) is closed and I can't complain again with repair request again.
Plz help... Can I simply just go and ask whether my SSD will be replaced or not with my warranty docs and others.
Also regarding ram upgrade (question for people living in India) will the service executive take extra charge for fitting the new ram for upgrade???
    Thank You

You probably have 4 memory slots. By default, Slot #1 is shown which is probably empty. Try Slot #2 etc. On my machine, Acer shipped with Slots #2 and #4 (the ones deep inside the machine) filled while #1 and #3 (the easy access slots) are empty.

I'm guessing your machine is the same but you never looked at the other slots. True?

nop only 2 slots dual here (i took it apart same day o got it to check the ssd and the cooling system and the battery connector) and none shows any memory on spd completely empty lol and you can edit your post for 15 mnts it's IPS as far as i can see someone correct me if i'm wrong :p

PS: its a cpuz bug if using the installed version the zipped version recognizes the spd fine lol

Interesting. What machine do you have so I can remember it only has two slots? Glad you got CPU-Z to work though for you.

As for the forum software, you can edit your post for 15 minutes but you cannot delete it, and trying to remove all the text from the post also says the body cannot be empty forcing you to put something in the message. I've also noticed that this software is very prone to have being accidentally put their message as part of a quote when they use the quote feature. This is because there's a huge delay before the form is ready for the user to type when using the quote feature. But it *looks* like it's ready before it is, so people start typing and that's how it happens.

You can contact Acer service center in your region and they should replace the SSD if your unit is still under warranty.
Most mixing memory of different speed may cause major instability. Probably the faster RAM will downclock to match the slower RAM, make sure that both are of same voltage. You may check for memory modules listed in the above list. Since you are in India, the best option is to contact you nearest Acer service center to replace SSD and upgrade memory modules.

Okay thank you all for the help
One more thing the latest bios update was related to SSD performance. So in my laptop there's a M.2 SSD installed I think, but the update mentioned was improved NVME performance. Does this mean that my laptop supports NVME SSDs like the Samsung evo 970 250GB M.2???
Plz reply if yes ASAP and if no what other branded SSDs are compatible within 250GB capacity.

I don't think it has #4 slots, mine is an imported model (Malaysian). When I saw during service of my laptop the ACER executive said it has only #2 slots...
