Just recently bought the Triton 700 and have found the battery to have dismal performance. It seems that it runs low less than an hour.
What is going on?? What should I turn off then not using the power cable.
Thanks
Dann

Hello there, welcome on board to the triton 700 ship..

battery with everything in power saving mode and no gaming it's like 2h and 20min... in gaming or using gpu yeah less than 1h.. nothing too strange.. keep in mind u dont have a integrated gpu to use in low power mode in this laptop...

i've recently find an old hp ac power with the exact same connector and volt output with a 90W max it's working correctly and charging the battery with the triton 700 1080 (and sometimes i carry that to costumers instead of the 230w power brick that comes with the laptop) untill u will not play at anything.. in that case battery it's not enough, gpu will try to suck watts from power and it cannot.. so the pc will stat beeping as hell... but for working or bringing it at school for study this could be a weight saving thing.... (just be sure that Volts are exact the same or u can damage the mainboard).

You could take a look with HWMonitor https://www.cpuid.com

My Predator 700 has 9% wear on the battery the laptop is a referb so I'm not sure if it had the original year old battery when I received it. But mine I can squeeze 2½ hours or so out of it if I'm just surfing the web/youtube with all windows 10 power saving options on and reduced brightness.

Anything with Gsync you don't have good battery life that's the trade off because it can't switch to the discrete intel video. Your running your 1080 all the time.

Importantly, what were you doing on the laptop when it was on battery mode? This is necessary in determining the next steps.

It's actually pretty normal for any laptop with such powerful hardware to suffer when it comes to battery life.

Are you gaming? If so you could enable "Battery Optimization" in geforce experience and set the desired FPS. (I use 40)
After setting battery optimization go to your games list in Geforce Experience and select the option to "optimize all".

That will adjust your graphics to best meet your FPS cap and improve battery life.

Arenoros your battery its completely dead the cells are damaged they wont hold any charge anymore as @sri369 explained above i guess you played a lot on battery which you shouldnt had the battery main purpose on laptops its to help the adapter to provide enough power to the cpu/gpu when this one cant it should only be used on battery in emergency cases where you dont have access to a socket and only on really low workload also you have to take care of your battery by calibrating it at least once every 3/6 months to not get damaged cells as you have now you only options now its either you buy a new one (if not on warranty) because you need the battery the laptop full performance will not be achieved if the battery is faulty if on warranty send it to get a battery replacement and next time try not to use it much and calibrate it

Have u ever calibrated your battery?
The issue here it's not how u used it its plain and simple your battery is dead you have to replace it there's no other option

That's not really true and some funny comments above about not using your battery for gaming or you'll break it haha.
Use your laptop however you want. The issue would be that the powerbrick isn't 230 Watts you should be able to run with the battery completely unhooked without a problem. But not if your model shipped with the lightweight 90watt adapter. He can just pick up a 230 on amazon and not worry about replacing a dead battery.

Hi guys, just wanted to ask if we can find battery replacement with more power, like over 50-60Wh. I think this could give us more juice on the road

OliverM3 not true lol ok so keep using your battery for gaming an you will see what happens ts clear to me now that you havent got a clue of how gaming laptops work either how they were designed to work neither what is the main purpose of the battery because if you knew you wouldnt had said what you said above but its fine and no one would ship a 90w adapter with a gaming laptop min 135w for the 1050ti's and then you have 180w for the 1060's and up also for your information you should never disconnect the battery (again you havent got a clue of whats the battery purpose on gaming laptops at all) you had given the worst advice's in your post i hope no one will follow them

PS: try to disconnect the battery and see the performance decrease when the adapter itself cant provide enough power to support the cpu/gpu

ciobanucos you shouldnt try to replace your battery with anything else than stock batteries if you wnat more battery life you have to sacrifice the performance and tweak it properly to have the less power draw from the cpu/gpu this is the only way to do it
