Cleaning touchscreens

I have a Nitro NP515-51 laptop, and I bought a screen protector for it. Before I apply it, I want to get all the existing fingerprints off the screen first.
Is there a recommended product or method to doing this without risking damaging the screen?

I know not to use any sort of rough cloth/material, and that any cleaning product should be applied to said cloth and not directly onto the screen.
I just want to make sure I don't use something that will damage the screen, which is what I got the screen protector to prevent in the first place.

Microfiber cloths are the best place to start when it comes time to clean a laptop screen. Turn off the laptop, so the screen is black which makes fingerprints more obvious. Wipe the screen from top to bottom using gentle, steady strokes.
