recently I bought Acer Aspire 5  (aspire 5 A515-51G-51GW) Laptop which has a SATA M.2 Slot and I am gonna get an SSD.I Know that it will support SATA SSDs but I am skeptical whether Samsung's 960 evo will work on it or not which is NVMe and also if it would work then whether is the speed going to be capped on it.
So I am in need of a detailed explanation as I am Confused. Thank you

Me too. However it should be backward compatible with the m.2 SATA slot. I'd guess it's a 50-50 chance it'd work. And if it does it'd only be at SATA3 speeds. If it were mine, I'd get a garden variety m.2 SATA SSD. Jack E/NJ
