My recently-repaired laptop won't start!

Hi guys! So I had a broken hinge a few weeks back and since my laptop was still under warranty, I brought it into the official Acer service centre and they were nice enough to replace my outer case but kept all my hard drive, motherboard etc, untouched. The laptop worked fine for over a week, until today when I couldn't turn it back on after I shut it down last night before bed.

The moment I hit the power button, the little lightbulb light flashed on but turned off within 3 seconds. No fans whirring, no screen activity, the laptop looked completely dead if not for the little flashing lightbulb light. I tried a holding the power button down for 10 seconds, then turning it on again but didn't work. I removed the AC plug, held the power button down for 15 secs, 30 secs, even more than 1 minute and STILL nothing!! It looked completely dead and the light just flashed on and off each time I hit the power button. Tried turning it on while it was plugged in, but the lightbulb thing barely flashed on before it disappeared again. Tried hitting F8 or ctrl + alt + delete but nothing.

Even attempted an internal battery reset (pushed a pin into the tiny hole at the back) repeatedly but the thing just won't work. Just a feeble little lightbulb flash and I'm wondering if the guys at the service centre messed up the internal stuff? My laptop worked great for over a week, so if the guys messed up it would've malfunctioned ages ago. I would bring it back to the service centre, but it's over an hour's drive away and I feel frankly embarrassed to walk in again with such a minor problem like such a tech loser.

Would appreciate ANY advice!

It doesn't make sense for them to touch your software for a hardware and that too a hinge repair man. I guess it has to do something with the battery. I was about to suggest a battery reset but it is something that you've already done. If there's no display after a repair, then it is safe to say that you have to unfortunately take it back to them for the repair. Be kind and I am pretty sure they can help you in this regard and most of these cases, they keep tickets so hopefully they will update their old ticket in your reference.
    BElieve in YOUrself.
