Hi,

 

good to be in the community.thank you.........

 

Is there any way ican improve my screen resolution from 768 to 1080.......

 

and the system goes dead slow sometimes.i do regular windoes update .

 

seems my 1 tb hdd is letting my system down

should i put a new ssd.or add an m.2 nvme along with existing hdd

 

sys spec is: 16gb ram,

                  1 tb hdd

                 i7 7500u 2.5-3.5

                 nvidea 940mx 4gb

    Most Acer smaller notebook/tablet displays are 1280 or 1366 but can support a 1920x1080 external monitor or TV.

     

    It depends on how the 1TB HDD is connected (USB is worst) but rotating drives are inherantly slow. My R3 speed remarkably improved when I replaced the WD HDD with a Samsun Evo SSD & was a plug and play experience.

     

    Best if you take a system image of your HDD (if the SSD is smaller you may need to shrink the 1TB partition to the same size first), swap drives, then restore the same image.

    acer f5-573g. windows 10.

     

    System is slow to boot up....

    im thinking about installing ssd ...

     

    i found that thereis one m.2 slot..as well which if i use to put an nvme m.2 with hdd as secondary,is it the better option...or

    just swap the ssd witha 500 gb samsung evo 850..
