    Hello,

Yes it is the same. Why do you want to remove the internal battery?

I have not purchased yet but so far I have been very, very impressed with how easy it is to upgrade this inexpensive laptop and I wanted to know if the battery is also replaceable although it seems that battery replacement is not as easy as say adding RAM : )

What about the network card. Do you know if it is soldered on or can that be replaced as well? TIA.

    • Lan:  Onboard
    • Wireless: WLAN/BT card which is located near the battery.

For information, this model is shipped with a keyboard backlight.

    What else? Smiley Very Happy

    Right. I read about that.

    >Lan:  Onboard

When you say Lan Onboard do you just mean EHTERNET?

    >Wireless: WLAN/BT card which is located near the battery.

OK. I wasn't sure if you were just identifyng the WIFI card or also indicating that it is/ is not soldered on

Do you happen to own the E5-575-33BM? The $350.00 US price point seems to good to be true for this intro model. I have been looking at HP and the Dell models which I know have i7 processors and more bells and whistles but cost 4x as much as this Acer model and I can certainly get by for the time being with the E5-575-33BM which costs 4X as less as what I have been looking at. Do you without reservation recommend this ACER model? No heavy graphc work will be needed.

    1. Lan onboard = Ethernet
    2. Do you happen to own the E5-575-33BM? No.
    3. Do you without reservation recommend this ACER model? No because I don't own it. Smiley Happy

FYI, I'm not an Acer employee but just an user/customer like you.

The link for removing the battery doesn't work. I have a 1 week old Acer Aspire E5-575-33BM that won't reboot after attempting to perform a major Windows update. I want to remove the battery to attempt to get the computer to work again, how do you do this? Is there anything else I can do to make the computer usable again?

Try doing this first. If no resolution, the charger/power cord may be defective. If your device is under warranty, ask Acer for repair.
