Aspire 5600U as monitor only with activated touchscreen

My Aspire 5600U's motherboard got toasted when we had it freighted to move countries. (at least that's what a home service technician had told us)

It is now only used as a Monitor or LCD TV if you will. Audio on it is great which makes me think the Touchscreen driver can still work.

If I am using it as an extension monitor of a Windows 10 laptop using HDMI connection. How can I get the touchscreen to work? Smiley Happy

I don't think you will be able to use the touchscreen when connected as external monitor, since the touch surface needs to send input to windows and normally this is done via USB connection (connecting your 5600U will not send touchscreen inputs)

Acer T272HUL is a touchscreen monitor not an AIO PC, that's really different hardware.

no, you can't convert your 5600U to an Aspire U.
