Hi,
I'd like to request the fd file for  Aspire E5-473G laptop,
as it appears am having problems with it not displaying anything.
The tech said the bios is the issue,

I've searched on how to flash the bios but it turns out that the bios files available here:
http://www.acer.com/ac/en/ID/content/support-product/5991;-;Aspire%20E5-473G

doesn't contain the fd file.

I'd be glad to hear other options to how I can flash the bios thanks in advance!

you need to run the exe file on another PC and let unpack the files, don't start the flash process or close any error window but browse here:
    C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\xxxxxxxx.tmp
the folder name changes from system to system, so you need to find it (hint: search by date) and copy the whole folder to desktop, inside you will find the *.FD file.

I've tested this one unfortunately there were no .FD files as you can see here:

So any ideas on how I can flash the bios? Smiley Sad

I've tried what you've PM-ed me, sadly it didn't work.

    Any ideas why? Smiley Sad
The system doesn't shutdown after 3-5 min or so, I've tested it for longer periods but still nothing.

I've removed the battery to reset it as you said.

No other ideas, since that's the official procedure.
