R5-471T-52EE Specs error on several websites. Need Acer support help please!

So I recently bought a refurbished R5-471T-52EE online specifically because it was advertised on several sites that it had a thunderbolt 3 port. For instance on Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834315345) on several ebay postings such as this one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Acer-Aspire-R-14-R5-471T-52EE-Core-i5-6200U-256GB-SSD-8GB-RAM-14-1080p-Touch-/142004421204?hash=item21101f8254:g:XSsAAOSwUfNXRc6O), and most importantly, on this page that seems like an official Acer page (https://store.acer.com/en-us/aspire-r5-471t-52ee-convertible-notebook) which is probably the reason all the other sites have it listed as well. The Acer site is specifically the one that made me go for the purchase despite conflicting information on the internet saying it didn't have it.

After recieving the laptop I found out that the USB C port in the laptop does NOT support thunderbolt 3 (it has the superspeed USB logo next to it) and because it was from ebay it seems it would be very difficult for me to get a refund for it, especially considering it was advertised exactly how it is on the Acer site. On top of that, because it was refurbished and out of warranty I can't find a good way to get in contact with Acer support to try to find a solution to my problem. Is there anything I can do in this situation? Its a great laptop but without the thunderbolt 3 port it doesn't fit what I need. I feel like I got scammed Smiley Sad

Sorry, but after some checking, I was able to confirm that this model only has USB 3.1, and does not have Thunderbolt 3. I am working on getting the link on our website corrected ASAP. Very sorry for any inconvenience.

Sorry, but there is not a way for us to add a thunderbolt port for this model, or to exchange it for a model that has it. My only suggestion would be to try to contact the reseller to see if there are any options they can provide. Sorry, I know this is very disappointing.
