I have two of these laptops, both running W10 64-bit and hybrid Segate drives. The one I rebuilt last week made me realize that my original one seems to be ignoring the 20GB SSD rapid start feature. Hmmm.

Where did it go on the one nd not the other. On the recent acquisition, I can see and manage the 20GB SSD through both Explorer and Device Manager. Yet, on the other, the SSD doesn't even apppear.

Help.

Go to disk management and see if it's there. Maybe it just needs to be formatted. If it's unallocated space, the computer can't use it.

If it doesn't show up even as unallocated space, it's probably defective.

Sorry to resurface such an old thread. I also have an ACER S3 951-664 with a 320G HD and 20Gb SSD. I had Linux installed in the SSD but a couple of days ago the 20GB SSD just "vanished". I can't access it so I hat do reinstall Linux on the HD. I'm guessing it's defective. So the question is: Can I replace just the 20Gb SSD? Or is it integrated into the HD or the board?
