Revo Build: Storage Drivers for clean install?

Does anyone have x64 SATA drivers for this box?

I wanted to create a tiny Web server running Windows Server Core on one of these boxes, so booted off of my UEFI-bootable USB drive, whacked the contents of the SSD and installed Windows Server. The Windows setup environment was able to see the SSD and copy the Windows files to it, but the box won't boot: instead, I'm getting an "Inaccessible Boot Device" error. I see drivers listed on the Acer site, but none of them are for the SATA controller.

Failing that, is there a way to get an image of the recovery partition?

I think they want you to create a factory default recovery drive before you attempt something like that.

    Recovery options:

If you want to try Windows server again, I think you might have to go in to BIOS and disable Secure Boot, then reinstall.

    Here's Windows 10:

Here's link to Acer Store if you want to purchase your recovery media

Yeah, I clearly screwed up by not booting into the Windows Home OS and creating a recovery disk first. I had assumed that the hardware in the Revo Build was covered by Windows' out-of-box driver set, and that is obviously not the case. Unfortunately, the recovery media is not listed on the site, but given how inexpensive the boxes are I can always just buy another!

I'm going to assume you have Revo M1-601.

Why don't you go to a different computer and download the windows 10 tool and create installation media so you can install windows 10?  Or did your computer come with Linux?

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

And then get your drivers here:

    http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

Or if you prefer to use the Acer Windows 10 w/ all of their pre-installed software, I'm sure if you called Acer, they would be able to send you factory default recovery media.  Go in to your BIOS to get your serial number as they will ask you for your serial number when you call them.

Oh, I have the installation media; the OS boots off of the USB (yes, I had to disable Secure Boot) and will install without an issue. The problem is that, once the installation finishes and bounces the box, it can't boot and BSOD's with INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. Generally, this error code means that the disk controller's driver needs to be supplied during the setup (in older OSes, you'd have called this an F6 driver, but the official term is a Boot Start Driver). It's just odd that the Setup PE environment was able to see/write to the SSD but the boot environment can't.

The drivers page for the M1-601 (aka Revo Build) do not list a SATA driver: only chipset, bluetooth, wireless, multi-format card reader, TXE, and graphics.

I'm going to assume that by default factory settings, your computer just uses Microsoft's storahci.sys...so there wouldn't be any special driver on Acer's website.

Try to boot your Windows USB media

Look for your "Repair your Computer"

After you click "Repair your Computer", navigate in the menu to startup options and try to boot in to safe mode (without networking/try with networking next).  If it successfully boots to windows, restart your computer.

    That's my only suggestion......good luck.
