Is there any way to get Windows 7 drivers for this computer? I had to install Windows 7 on it for work, but cannot find drivers for the graphics card (960m) or the audio card. Any idea?

    Hi holmern

Go to the nvidia site. Select "GeForce 900m Series" from the Product Series dropdown menu. Now select "GeForce GTX 960m" from the Product menu. Next, make sure the OS selected is for Windows 7. Now click "search".

I'd suggest to click the latest driver shown, to download (& save) to your computer.

Remember to do a restore point before you start, just in case things go wrong!

That was the first thing I tried. It just says that it cant find compatible hardware. Also having issues with the audio drivers and touchpad. Is it common having driver issues with Acer?

No, it's not common to have driver issues with Acer.

If your laptop is saying it can't find compatible hardware, after you installed the correct driver, then I'm afraid that your graphics chip may have an issue.

As you're having problems too, with audio & the touchpad, I think you have an issue with your mobo in general.

I thought about that, but the weird thing is that everything works just fine if I install Windows 10.

    Strange!

Have you installed Windows 10 since you've had these issues?

I'll have a chat with someone else, to see if they can assist.....

Windows 7 installed on UEFI or Legacy BIOS setting?

Ok so I manually installed the graphics driver for Skylake/intel 530 graphics and that let me install an older Nvidia driver. Only remaining issue now is the audio driver and touchpad. Not really worried about the touchpad but audio would definitely be nice

Had to install under Legacy. Wouldn't install under UEFI

Under Legacy there can be some issues installing drivers and also some hardware problems.
Like touchpad not working correctly or corrupted graphic.

I would install under UEFI if I could, but Windows 7 install would freeze every time. If I can just get the audio to work now I'll be fine.

Have you already tried using Relatek 2.79 drivers?

    http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High Definition Audio Codecs

tick accept and click on next, then download the correct package.

It doesn't say that anything is wrong during install, but it doesn't fix the audio driver issue. Still doesn't work.

do you have the speaker icon near clock and date?

if so, right click it and choose Playback devices

check if Speakers or Realtek audio speaker are set as default.

if the list is empty, right click on the empty space and choose Show disabled devices and Show disconnected devices.

it looks an Intel audio SST (8086 is Intel ID).

have a check with Intel drivers update if it can find something:

EDIT: yes, as far as i read on some russian forum, SST audio drivers are not supported on windows 7.
