Hello team!

I am new to this forum and would like to seek some advise from any experience people here.

I have a Acer predator G3-605.

8GB DDR3 memory

1TB hard Drive

My intention is to upgrade the ram to 16GB and also add a SSD into it.

Can any one advise me is it possible ? And also how should i do do?

Example

1) what model or ram should i buy?

2) how much ram should i buy so that i can add up to 16GB from my current 8GB. ( not sure the current 8GB is 4X2 GB or 1X8 GB)

3) is it able to add SSD into it?

4) Does it need any specific SSD model or brand?

Would appreciete if anyone could enlight me.

Thank You  in advance !

About the memory, This review of a Predator G3-605-UR20 says it can be upgraded to 32GB. I do agree with the reviewer thought that 32GB is excessive.

The memory can be anything that matches the below specs.

Long summary description Acer 8GB DDR3L 1600MHz DIMM:
Acer 8GB DDR3L 1600MHz DIMM. Internal memory: 8 GB, Internal memory type: DDR3L, Memory clock speed: 1600 MHz

Acer only shows up to 8GB Part #s

    KN.8GB07.004 Kingston, KN.8GB0G.008 Hynix, KN.8GB07.012 Kingston

You need to look at your memory and see what sizes you have. If you have 2-4gb, buy a 2-8GB

matched pair. If you have 1-8GB, you should try to match it exactly or buy a matched pair.

Absolutely you can add a SSD. The samsungs are pretty popular. Buy a 2.5 Size SSD and a 2.5

    SSD/HDD to 5.25 adapter bracket.
