I haven't changed harddrive or rezied the partiotions, so i don't understand what could be the problem.

    did you update  windows?

there are 3 recovery partition and only the bigger is the Acer recovery, that's why is not working.

    don't erase any partition please.

    please try this:

press windows key logo + x

    select command prompt (admin)

    then type:

    reagentc.exe /info

please take a screenshot or copy and past  the result.

Hurry! Quick! Before it's too late, try to make a USB factory default recovery drive! Smiley Happy

    good, Windows RE is correct.

    can you try this?

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-usb-recovery-drive

or the link posted by Jordan?

it's better if you create the recovery media, so you can wipe completly the HDD and re-install windows 8 from scrtach.

And then after you make USB factory default recovery drive...

you can go in to BIOS settings and enable the boot menu and boot to your USB recovery drive.

    Reset your PC.

When the USB recovery drive dialogue asks you if you want to re-partition the drive....say yes.

Or follow ironfly's instructions on how to wipe drive clean and start fresh.....

That would be a probelm. I don't have a 16 gb usb stick and the clostes store is almost  1h away. Order from the net takes a few days, but i would need to computer for a work tomorrow and it's working so freckling slow.

    What is the other alternative?

I don't know of one.  Ironfly might know.  But if you mess up your computer trying to fix it without a factory default USB recovery drive, then it's going to cost you some money if you have to buy your recovery media from acer.  And that will probably take a few days to mail to you.

You could download/install the generic/vanilla windows 8.1 from microsofts website but by the time you did all the updates and downloaded/installed all your drivers, it would take a few/several hours.  And you would lose all of your Acer pre-installed software....unless you made a backup like this:

    http://acer-in.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27089/~/creating-a-usb-or-dvd-drivers-and-applications-backup-in-windows-8

Are you sure you need 16GB or is it 32 GB USB drive for factory default recovery drive?  I guess whatever the Acer recovery program says you need is what you need.

I don't know. But any chance about fixing the partitions?

    IronFly, any suggestions?

Looking at the partition size, i think 32GB is needed.

    so let's try this:
    windows key logo + r
    type
    diskpart
    on diskpart
    type
    list volume
(now check the volume number of the 18GB recovery partition)
    type
    select volume x
(x is the volume number of the recovery partition)
    type
    detail partition

if recovery volume is not listed:

    On diskpart
    list disk
(check the disk number where the recovery partition is installed)
    type
    select disk x
(x is the number of the disk where partition is installed)
    type
    list partition
    check if all partitions appear
    select partition x
(x is the number of the 18GB partition)
    detail partition

2 - take note of "offset" value and "type" (guid) value
Open the XML file C:\Windows\System32\Recovery\ReAgent.xml (don't use wordpad but download a free XML editor like:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xml-copy-editor/ ). Locate the line "PBRImageLocation" and check if the values match.

if not set its offset and guid accordingly to the values you found above, save the file.

Open a new command prompt with admin rights

press windows key logo + x

    Choose Command prompt (admin)

    and enter

    reagentc /disable

    followed by

    reagentc /enable

You should now be able to create a Recovery drive, just follow this instructions (or try with Acer erecovery):
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-usb-recovery-drive

IF i update to w10 and then restore, can it fix the problem?

This probably won't work, but you can try the shift-restart method to reset your PC.
