Reimbursing shipping costs?

Hello ..new to this site.  I have only had my Acer Tablet for 7 mths and the touch screen is not working.   Of course it needs to be shipped to Mississauga, ON in Canada as I live in Canada(MB).

Specially packed to protect it and they only want it sent by UPS or Fedex or some shipping company.

So went to do that until they told me how much it was to cost..$44 and some cents to ship...this is ridiculous. Yeah good for buisiness owners as they could just use it as a buisiness expense but as a little guy we just keep on paying!

I asked the chat guy about reimbursing the shipping costs and they said they would NOT.  It still is on warranty!

Any suggestions?

I am having a similar issue.  It is not acceptable that I have to send a monitor under warranty for repairs all the way to Texas and take care of the shipping cost!  This is basically paying additional money for the monitor adding to the cost of buying an Acer monitor when the fault has been determined to be a manufacturing issue.

Why would Acer want me to pay $60+ dollars to ship a 27 inch monitor to their repair center when it is their product that is defective and in no case a fault of mine is beyond me!   Anybody know of any options to avoid this additional cost?

    Thank you.
