Hi friends,
I own an Acer Aspire M5-581T.
Everything with it works fine except this one problem.
While I am using it on battery (i.e. not charging), it shuts off unexpectedly. If the charger is connected, it runs just fine. No unexpected shut offs.
Can anyone suggest me a solution?
Is it battery related issue? should replacing the batter fix it?
Thanks in Advance.
Mahesh
I guess it's the right solution.
Here are the links about which I was reffering.

I could not identify exactly which screw needed to be tightened, so I tightned every screw.
And magically, my headache was gone. I used the laptop untill the battery was at 10% (around 3.5 hours), and it didn't shut down unexpectedly even a single time.

You must check the battery charge when those shut offs happens.
if it happens around 20-30% can be a battery problem or pc battery sensor.
Hi IronFly,
Thanks for the quick response.
Battery is alwyas above 70% as I can't use the system more than 15 - 20 minutes on battery.
On another thread, I have found that there is a grounding issue and a screw needs to be tighten to overcome it. I'll check and update here.
