Hi

I have Acer Aspire E1 571 Laptop. The Blutooth of the laptop is not working as latest drivers are installed, bluetooth is on and check to discoverable. But when finding the device via laptop or finding the laptop via other bluetooth device no device were found on both ends.

Can any one help me regarding this issue?

Thanks

Finally I have the solution for this common Bluetooth problem (Not Connected / Not finding the devices).

In win 7 when we on the Bluetooth adopter and we have not installed the acer driver win automatically installed the Bluetooth deivers, now after win install driver itself Bluetooth driver is shown in device manager and on status but not work, not find any Bluetooth device. Here is the solution:

    - On the Bluetooth and go to device manger and uninstall the drivers

    - After the uninstall turn off the Bluetooth and install the acer driver for Bluetooth which is match with your device

    - But not to on the Bluetooth before installation of the drivers

    - After the installation turn on the Bluetooth and you see win does no install the drivers it self because the driver is installed and device is in working condition

    - Search the devices and hopefully the Bluetooth not finding the device issue is resolve

    Thanks

What does it show in Device Manager for the Bluetooth device?

Its shows: Generic Bluetoothe Adopter and below that show Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator

Another note that its only show when bluetooth is on, if off no device is shown in device manager

It does not sound like the appropriate drivers are installed for your bluetooth device.

The E1-571 contains either Atheros or Broadcom bluetooth hardware.  Drivers for both are available on our drivers page.

My suggestion would be to back up any personal data on the system and restore to factory defaults.

I'm not sure why the bluetooth would not be properly installed, but this would correct it.

When i uninstall the drivers after the very first restart win 7 automatically installed the drivers for bluetooth. Can you guide me how to block this and only installed the drivers by the acer?

Under Windows 7, you likely have the Atheros WiFi + Bluetooth adapter.

Wireless LAN Atheros Wireless LAN Driver (WLAN+Bluetooth driver) 10.0.0.38 39.8 MB 2013/08/14 Download

    Download and install that driver.

After installation of the attached drivers link same shown in device manager as well as not connecting to any bluetooth device.

At this point, you need to reload the system.

I'm not sure what you mean by "fresh windows with fresh drivers".  Are you using Acer Recovery media? or a retail copy of Windows?

    Hello sounoshb,

    i have a similar issue with the E1 572.

What is your device manager showing after the successful installation?

Which bluetooth drivers did you use and how did you install them?

I really would appreciate your help very much.

    Many thanks!

Hi, i am happy to help you

In my case its shows "Bluetooth USB Module" and "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator"

Thank you so much for your fast reply Smiley Happy

I also have now "Bluetooth USB Adapter" (before it was saying "Generic Bluetooth Adapter") and "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator". But still it doesn't find any Bluetooth device (i tried that it finds my mobile phone and a bluetooth speaker).

When you right-click in device manager on the "Bluetooth USB Adapter" -> Properties -> Driver -> Driver Details , what does it show? In my installation it shows the following files in Windows\system32\DRIVERS:

one is from Qualcomm Atheros (btfilter.sys),

    two from Microsoft (bthport.sys, BTHUSB.SYS)

and one file under Windows\system32 from Microsoft fsquirt.exe

You need to first uninstall the previous drivers (make sure to off the bluetooth) then install the fresh drivers and after installation on bluetooth and find the devices. Please make sure your devices are not added previously you can check in printer and devices section if they are already install their. In my laptop its Atheros and Microsoft two only.

First Uninstall your bluetooth from device manager and restart your laptop. Then go to device manager and again reinstall bluetooth with drivers. If it again gives you problem.Reinstall your windows.
