Dear all. I have been using a Ac er Chromebook 314 for a while now and are overall satisfied with the price/performance ratio. Now I would like to connect a hdm screen via usb c and are trying to find proper information if one can use any usb c to hdmi cable like this: "https://infshop.dk/andet/2700-usb-c-ladekabel-datakabel-3a-1-m-sort-7314280044696.html" as example ..? or what kind of constraints are there regarding dac etc active / passive? If not mistaken one clause in googles specs for Chromebooks was that A chromebook is to be able to connect video via usb c ,, duno bout performance thou. If Anyone could point me in the right direction.. .. does the computer have DAC x or y for example ? Since there are financial constraints on my behalf i am trying to not go crazy when it comes to functions,, best possible simply video ̀computer => screen no "ultras" im a pre vga generation //Cheers Mirre /edit english language errors

Is it this one? : https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/model/NX.HKDEK.001

If so any old USB-C to display adapter should work :) display port supports both video and audio, and is a straight digital signal so you should be able to use any passive USB-C to either HDMI, or displayport (both would support audio) or DVI (which wouldnt). You would only need an active one if you wanted to connect VGA to do the Digital to anaolg conversion

    performance should be fine :)
