Hello!

I have had this Acer Nitro 5 for about a month now and during that 1 month it was running high quality games like a charm, but one day I was playing this game then it shuts off randomly, when I reload it up, it starts to get laggy and I get frame drops then it shuts down again, how do I fix this?

Please Help! I don't want to return this 900 USD Computer!

Don't worry..  It looks like a software issue.

Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

    Try windows x
click on power shell admin or command prompt admin
    type rstrui
chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine
    click on next, finish, yes
It will restore your computer to an earlier date
if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close
It will show you all the icons..

Try and check whether it is working now ..

If it is still not working..

Kindly follow the steps given below..

    Try windows x
    go to device manager
    expand display adapter
right click on display driver - uninstall
    Restart the computer

    It should work fine..

If it is still not working
Uninstall the display adapter from device manager
    Don’t restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
    Install the display driver

    It should work fine..

Note: If it is still not working please let us know we will try some other alternative steps to make it work on your computer.

@iiRocketManJack your laptop might be overheating. Use the laptop in a flat surface without anything blocking the vents. If that doesn't work, bring it to the Acer service center if you still have warranty.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi @iiRocketManJack,

Is the battery charged enough to run the unit.
