I have a acer nitro 5 an515-55 and I was wondering if I can get 144hz+ via HDMI. Another question I have is what HDMI version is it? Example: 1.4, 2.0 etc.
my specific model is the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-50Z3.

In theory yup, although it's diminishing returns over 144hz, and the gpu grunt needed to get over 144hz without dropping graphics quality is huge, like a 3070 or above!

Its the GTX 1650 right? If so, it should be HDMI 2.0 and plugged directly into the GPU.

Offical support in  the service guide has up to 100hz up to 3k, so you should be golden to do 144 hz on 2.5k or 1080p HDMI screen. I use this guide for the reference as the max refresh rate is linked to the screen size: https://glenwing.github.io/adapters/?output=HDMI

since it supports up to 3k I should be able to go up to 240hz 1920x1080 right? Thanks for the help!
