Aspire TC-105 Windows 11 TPM?

My Acer Aspire TC-105 (purchased 3-8-2014) has a TPM slot on the motherboard (Acer – AAHD3-VC).

Questions:

1)    Is there a specific TPM 2.0 module (part number) that I need to buy to make it Windows 11 ready?

2)    Will Acer need to issue a BIOS update?  There has not been a BIOS update for this model since 2013.

My PC runs well and is more than adequate for my needs.  Is it worth adding the TPM module or (as one Acer user said) “Should I just use the PC as a boat anchor” and buy a new PC?

It would be nice if Acer had motherboard user manuals online and would respond timely to the people that actually purchased their PC’s.  Once your PC is out of warranty Acer “kisses you goodbye.”

Hopefully, Acer or an Acer user can answer the above questions.

If you can translate to English, why not just post in English?

I believe he has his signature set for more languages since he responds in different locales than just the English ones.

    Thanks.

The TC-105's CPU is not Win-11 compatible also. Its a 2014 model so see the Windows 11 Supported AMD Processors & CPU List [Updated] btw, the last BIOS is the VP12.B0L dated 2014/01/27 "BIOS for Linux - UEFI for Windows 8 (Not for Upgrades) and Richland system only"
  • I still think it's possible to connect a tpm chip:

Likely the TPM module will work (though maybe not TPM 2.0), but running W11 on it will still be unsupported due to the rest of the system. Depending on the cost of the module it might be worth attempting, though in the long run a newer machine is best. Looks like Amazon has modules for around $60, but watch carefully for the right pinout, some modules have a different key pin position.
