Acer apps don't work !

Any reason why Acer apps are so buggy? When I try to use Acer Product Registration it comes with an error ''system is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. Then when I try to launch Acer Care Center it comes with the error ''Acer Care Center service is still initializing. Please try again later''

Upon little digging into this forum, these errors have existed for a very long time. There are several videos on youtube that are more of a ''hack'' that works for some but not for all. Why cant Acer put a little effort into its own product and fix this long known error. Why rely on hacks provided by the community? It's only a 1-week old laptop and certainly provides a very bad experience for any future purchases.

Click on this link. Then enter your full ACER model number. Toward the bottom, will be a link to download and install the latest ACER Care Center and QuickAccess applications for your model that should work just fine.

    Thanks. It works now.

Any idea about the Acer Registration? Couldn't find a fresh install?

If the machine is new, you register it on line by clicking on this link. Choose your country. Click the support link near the top of your country's ACER website. Enter  your machine's serial number id (SNID). Then click the registration link.

A fresh factory install is available on a hidden ACER recovery partition on the boot drive. You access it immediately after turning the machine on by pressing and holding the ALT key while tapping the F10 key.  If the machine seems to be functioning OK, a fresh install is not recommended.

Great. I do see the option now.

Just wondering if there is any benefit of registering the device online?

Faster than regular mail if you also got a registration card. Could prevent someone else from registering as the owner.

So this fix was again temporary only. Once the computer was restarted it went back to the same error. Only way to use it is to uninstall and resintall again every time I want to use it.

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' Scroll down and uncheck the box for fast startup. Re-install. Then shut down Windows normally and try it again.

Tried this but still same error. Now even a clean install does not work.

This was exactly my initial question. Why cant Acer simply fix this app for good so we don't have to go through so many hacks :-)

What do you mean by 'clean install'. Several changes are usually needed in the BIOS menu to do this. A hidden ACER OEM factory Win10 reset partition might become corrupted if you try to install generic Microsoft Win10 version. The generic version is not the same as the OEM version. Some of its system files often won't play nice with ACER proprietary hardware and software apps to control them. Does this mean that you had already previously installed the generic version?
