Press Win+R. Enter 'diskmgmt.msc'. The Seagate should show up and allow you to initialize it by right clicking on it. If not, F2 into the BIOS menu on startup. Does the disk appear in the BIOS Infomration tab?

  • Open the command prompt as an administrator and type:
    diskpart
    list disk
    sel disk x (where x is 0)
clean (here, everything will be deleted)
    convert gpt
    create partition primay
    format fs=ntfs quick
    assign

    Hi OsamaDiaab,

    # Reset the unit, (It will remove all the data--->Unit goes to Day 1 of default version)

    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold Alt+F10 keys(without releasing the keys) ---> Trun ON the unit.
    3. You will get a blue screen(Title Choose an option). (Release the keys)
    4. Click troubleshoot option.
    5. Click on Reset this PC.
    6. Go with the option (Keep my files/Remove every thing)
    7. Then follow the on screen instruction.

Check this T/S and post the result.

    (1) Turn off laptop. Then turn it back on and tap F2 to enter the BIOS Information tab so that you can take phone photo if possible when drive is visible.

    (2) Do you have a 2.5" USB-2-HDD adapter so that we can check if the Seagate disk or  cable connector or mainboard connector is faulty.? The USB adapter is very inexpensive and can be purchased at many concessionaires like Amazon, Flipkart & Aliexpress.

Let the fixing task complete if it can. Or force a shutdown by pressing and holding the power button for at least 5 seconds. Then immediately remove the Seagate drive. Then make sure the machine still boots OK on the SSD. If boot is OK, then don't try to put the Seagate back in until we can test it  by other ways. Jack E/NJ

Please remove the Seagate HDD from the machine. Then make sure the laptop still boots OK without the Seagate HDD inside. We will try to test the Seagate HDD from a USB port.

Good. Now you need to get an inexpensive 2.5" USB-to-HDD adapter so we can test the Seagate HDD externally. What country are you located? So I can recommend a source. Jack E/NJ
