Acer wifi limited connectivity issue

Hello everyone.

 

I own an Aspire v3-731 4470 laptop and it seems to be giving me some problem with wifi connectivity. I've used this laptop for over 3 months now and there has never been a problem. Can someone please help me out as sitting beside my router all day is kinda frustrating :$

 

- I've tried updating the BIOS but it keeps saying "Find a bios suitable for your version or something like that"

- Used the Acer "Device Manager" and turned the Wifi setting to on but when I check it 5 minutes later it seems t have re-verted back to the off position again. 

- I live in an apartment building so I normally see tons of connection options.

 

EDIT: I run Windows 8.

 

Any help would be appreciated

check power profile and make sure power setting not turning off the wifi

also check driver version on Acer drivers page
