Laptop Aspire E-5-576 NI6 sotp recording windows voice recorder or any playback Urgent help needed!

Hi, In past I used windows 10 voice recorder as well as, audacity or other software to record playback audio. But recently I am facing neither windows voice recorder nor other software are able to record. In my rough guess after windows update such things happen.

I have checked, audio security is allowed to be used on application and is on.

I also set sound mixer for recording in windows. etc. but nothing is working. Even at some instance in audio is set it to default.

I shall be thankful if, someone guide me how to solve this problem or say trouble shooting.

I am using Windows 10 updated, drivers and software updated.

Uninstall the sound recorder and download that app from the Windows Store:

If that did not fix your problem, uninstall the Realtek audio driver (that is 6 years old):

Uninstall the Realtek drivers with DDU freeware from Wagnardsoft.com in Safe Mode and let Windows10 reinstall the best audio drivers.

Safe mode: When in Windows, close all apps and keep the Shift key pressed down while clicking on Restart in Start>Power>Restart. This will get you the Troubleshoot screen, click on Advanced>Restart>F4 or 4 Safe Mode. You can also Type Safe Mode in the Search bar in Windows and that will get you to the Advanced Startup screen (same thing). You don't reinstall those drivers, Windows will find the correct audio drivers and install that if you are online (internet is working).

Puraw, thank you very much for the detailed reply. I will follow your direction just one thing, Safe mode (I do not know but will try) after uninstalling Realtek Windows will install (me thinking). Thank you
