Hello,
I have got my brand new Acer Aspire 5 A515-55-V378 which is pretty decent machine for the price.
I decided to upgrade ram and ssd.
Firstly I have inserted RAM crucial ddr4 3200mhz, however after the ram installing the screen have not turned on. So I decided to disconnect and reconnect all the ports then It started to work again. Then I put a ssd xpg sx850, it is displayed in the "this pc" so I guess it was a successful installation. However I have a huge problem, after pressing shut down on the windows fans are running at their full speed and literally they do not turn off. Please help me to overcome this challenge

  • This problem occurred after installing ssd and ram, correct? What happens when you disconnect this hardware?

Definitely, try to upgrade the firmware of that machine to the latest available otherwise off to the servicing center it has to go. It's not normal for the fan to be powered on when the laptop is turned off, and I mean, not at all.

The upgrades, although related somehow because you state that it started happening after you performed them seem inconsequential to me. Unless you also went and unplugged the fan cable to plug it somewhere else I don't see how adding/replacing a RAM module or SSD could lead to that. If you open the laptop check that the cable is not damaged and in contact with something else in the board.

As for the RAM and the black screen... most likely it isn't compatible with the laptop. I can't tell you the exact reason why because it could be a great deal of things, but maybe you arrive at the cause after going through this thread: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/608352/guide-how-to-find-out-if-you-can-upgrade-the-ram-and-which-one-you-need

I even upgraded BIOS to the latest version, for the last  I will try to take off 2.5" SATA ssd, format m2. and install windows from usb, maybe it would help.
if it doesn't I will send it to the Acer service center.

It sounds like a hardware-related issue to me, if you have already upgraded the firmware and all, I wonder what it could be :(

When the screen goes black windows task manager show dramatical cpu usage increase, immediately, when I move mouse and screen goes on, cpu goes back normal. I hope it is not hardware related  :'(:'(:'(

@rurkha try disconnecting the battery and connecting it back again. Or do a battery pin hole reset following the below video:
