GTX 1060 issue on Nitro 5

End May/start June I have had a problem with Nvidia GTX 1060 or maybe it is Windows... but I cant start serval (but not all) programs with right click and select Run with high performance Nvidia processor as I could before (they dont show up as running in Nvidia status).... As example cannot start Chrome this way but I could before..... Though the newly updated Edge browser from MS do run this way with the dedicated graphics (it shows up in Nvidia status as running) and some other programs run as well... but also some dont.... though I dont mainly use Edge and want to use Chrome this way as I usually do without any problems... It was after some updates that came from Windows/Nvidia in that time and has been a problem ever since

I have Nitro5 An515-52 and Nvidia GTX 1060 on Win10

Hope someone have an idea what to do with this?

I will try this today meanwhile I also have a newer nitro with 2060 rtx graphics but its the same problem... Ive from start had a feeling that issue was related with May update of Windows since it happend after that... See link here seems can be part of solution

Did this problem occur just after updating windows to version 2004? What happens when you uninstall the nvidia driver with the ddu program in safe boot?

Yeah win update 2004 updated 30th of May - I can't tell if that was exactly the reason... I've tried normally remove and reinstall the Nvidia driver with first putting the Acer driver on for graphics... But can try with ddu when investigated it a bit .... but should then only unintall ?

I suggest you try to uninstall or video card driver. If the problem persists, try reinstalling windows:

Yeah but shouldn't I then install it again... yesterday updated nvidia driver and now Run with high performance Nvidia processor option is gone... weird... and then all could be related to Nvidia.. but won't that just happen again when reinstall drivers then

I'm having the same issue with my nitro 5 it seems driver related specifically the latest version that enables WDDM 2.7 on nvidia GPUs (451.48).
