Power Indicator on Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-51M5

I've been searching and haven't seen my exact question answered.  We just bought this laptop new last week.  I've noticed that when the laptop is on with the lid closed the Power Indicator light flashes orange every few seconds.  The laptop seems to function fine, charges to 100%, holds a charge, etc.  Does anyone know if the Power Indicator flashing is normal/expected behavior when the laptop is on but inactive?  I've seen different answers on the separate Battery Indicator (which seems fine on my laptop... orange when charging, blue when charged), but not the Power Indicator.  The manual that came with the laptop doesn't address what the flashing light means.  I tried to chat with Acer support, but two times I waited in the queue for 20+ minutes, got to #1 in line, and then got booted.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

This occurs when you configure the closing of the lid to suspend the power options.
