laptop Screen Went black. Need help in repairing

hi, I bought my laptop from India on August 2018, right now(november 2018) i'm in dublin and while i was browsing the screen faded out and turned black. I tried to restart the machine and while rebooting i could see the system running perfectly fine but the display was just a black screen. I connected it to the external monitor via VGA and i can see the display in the external monitor. Since i have an International travelers warranty i'm trying to claim the warranty and get it repaired but since there is no local ACER service center in dublin i'm having an hard time trying to access the service center in UK, hence kindly help me out in getting my laptop fixed.

>> Try to perform a simple power reset and check the issue. Shutdown the laptop. Disconnect the charger. Disconnect the external display. Please check for a battery reset PIN hole at the bottom of the device.The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Reconnect the charger and power On the laptop.

>>Please check by refreshing the Display driver of your laptop by connecting to an external display. Use the Windows key + X and select Device Manager. Expand Display Adapters. Right-click the adapter and select Uninstall. Click OK to confirm. Connect the external monitor. Restart your computer to complete the task, let the operating system reinstall the driver automatically upon restart and hopefully, the black screen will disappear.

Since the display is OK when connected to an external monitor, then you either have a faulty video cable, a faulty video cable connection at either end motherboard or screen, or a faulty LCD screen.
