    Hi,
    Your model could be different from AN515-51, please provide the full name, like ANxxx-xxG. Yes, you could be right, if the total memory is 8GB and if you find only a single removable module, the other one might be an on-board memory, it means soldered.
    I guess he has same model as I do have AN515-31, I've seen models AN515-41 and AN515-51 and newer ones seem to have 2 SODIMM DDR4 slots.

    AN515-31 has 1 SODIMM DDR4 slot (which is taken by that A-data SODIMM DDR4 2400MHz RAM module), and another is on-board memory from SK Hynix.

    I've changed from this -> "AM1P24HC4R1-BUNS", same as you have on picture and one reason why I felt we have same model.

    To this -> "KCP424SS8/8"
    https://www.data-systems.fi/tuote/kingston-kcp-8gb-ddr4-2400mhz-sodimm/

    It cost much more in 2018, almost 100 EUR with delivery :'( these days it seem cost around 40 EUR. And even this 16GB module (which is also supported, up to 20GB RAM) cost less in 2019!

    https://www.data-systems.fi/tuote/kingston-16gb-ddr4-2400mhz-sodimm/

    12GB vs 8GB is somewhat great now atleast as RAM prices have dropped that much in 2019, overall quite few times had problems with RAM max usage with 8GB, but with 12GB on my usage, haven't seen such problems anymore.

    The Acer Nitro 5 -AN515-51 can support ddr4 2666mhz ?
    Hi,
    It can only support up to 2400MHz.
    So it can only support 2400Mhz? But why is it the RAM which is already installed when i bought the nitro is written as 2666mhz in CPU-Z and windows task manager?
    Yes, I would like to understand this better as well? So u actually have to upgrade to dual channel with a 2666mhz ram and not with a 2400 as advised? Would there be any problem using the 2666mhz ram at all?

    Hi,
    Yes, 4GB is soldered to the motherboard, you can use a DDR4  2133MHz  16GB module to make up the maximum memory of 20GB.

    Hi,
    It's strange that you have two slots, according to the manual AN515-31 has a 4GB on-board memory and a slot for upgrade, anyway, as you already have a 2400MHz module, get another matching module and install, if you upgrade with another 16GB RAM, you will loose the benefit of dual channel, so I would suggest you to get 2x8GB to make it to 16GB total and it will operate as dual channel.
