Hello everyone. My keyboard has stopped working. I'm using the onscreen keyboard which is very slow. I asked Acer support for assistance but it appears that their keyboards are defective too because they haven't responded. I'd be most grateful if anyone could offer a solution please?
Update 11/6/16. I tried resetting the battery as suggested by one very helpful member of the community but it didn't work. I've now plugged in a seperate keyboard via one of the USB ports and it works fine so I reckon the fault must be a defective keyboard but I'n not too savvy about these things so I'm not entirely sure.
Acer's technical department also responded to my enquiry. It'll cost over £47 just to send it to them for assessment and that's before the cost of any repair. I can't say that I'm impressed particularly as a qualified and experienced computer repair technician that has a shop near me said that he charges just £5 to replace keyboards, if that's where the fault lies!
I'd be glad to hear from anyone else if they have any suggestions?
