My name is Patrick B. Ludwig and I am based in

Switzerland. A mathematician and theoretical cyberneticist

by profession, I have been working with and developing for

computers since 1974 . Not counting programmable cal-

culators like the Sinclair, HP or Texas Instruments.

I now use two Acer S7-393's and one Acer S7-391 as my

primary working devices.

By the way, I am very happy with them as well as Acer's

service setup in Switzerland.

I have often wondered, why Acer is called Acer. Is there

some connection to Maple Trees? Or is Acer just sharp,

acute or acerbic? Please dont tell me that it is connected

to Ace (as in cards or in Ace-Airmen) - I always have hope,

thst just a little bit of Latin has survived!
