Hi, I have an Aspire e1-530 laptop which I upgraded to windows 8.1. After updation the touchpad is malfunctioning for 10-15 minutes after startup. Right after the system boots up areas of touchpad become unresponsive, sometimes centre of touchpad act as scrollpad, sometimes icons zoom in and out while moving finger in touchpad and after 10-15 minutes everything start working properly.
I tried installing the latest Synaptics driver (17.0.6.13) from acer support webite. the problem remained. then I tried ELANTECH touchpad driver(11.6.27.201) but the gesture supports like two finger scrolling is not enabled in ELANTECH driver.
when i uninstasll the synaptics driver touchpad seems to wok fine with the old default driver (6 . something).
But i need the gesture to work in my laptop. Now I am running the Synaptics driver i downloaded from HP website (18.0.4.0) In this also the problem is there but I can reset device from mouse properties page and then the touchpad works fine.
Is there any permanent solution available for my problem? Please help me.
