Firstly, trying to start the laptop, I hear a ticking sound which is shortly followed by a black screen that displays with the following message:
"Broadcom UNDI PXE-2.1 v15.0.11

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting Broadcom PCE ROM.
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"
This device has no disc drive nor does it have any backup media that I am aware of. I'm thinking this is a HDD failure and thus needs the HDD replacing. That's no issue. My question is, if I have backup media for the exact same make and model of a different laptop, am I able to use that?
Also, the BIOS is in the correct order to boot from.
I look forward to your responses and any insight you can provide.
