after a recent Win10 update, my Acer Care Center was non-function (started, but was then just freezing). I have then de-installed the entire Care Center application with the standard windows functionality and downloaded the latest ACC-software from the acer site (Acer Care Center_Acer_4.00.3001_W10x64_A). Unfortunately I am absolutely unable to re-install ACC as whenever I start the setup program, the installation routine claims that a newer ACC is already installed (which is not true) and I have to de-install this version (which is definitely not installed on my computer. Then the setup routine terminates without installation of ACC.
- Are there any ways to enforce the (new) installation of ACC?
- Are there any ways to deinstall whatever was left over from the last de-installation, so the setup routine does not complain anymore
Would highly appreciate a feedback, as I was not able to find any hints on the support site, the forum or any other web-site about this and its really hard to get through to the Acer support directly.
