Windows 10: How to check for Windows updates

How can I check to see if there are updates for Windows 10?

Windows 10 is designed to automatically check for updates. You can use the instructions below if you want to manually search to see if there are updates available.

Click the Start button.
Select Settings.
Choose Update & security.
Click Windows Update, then select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your PC is up to date, then all current updates are installed on your PC.
