Hi,

I am looking for a way to switch my bios to uefi from legacy, without having to reload the system.

Everytime I change it in the bios, on reboot I get a no bootable device error.

I had my bios set to uefi but after the windows 8.1 upgrade it seems to have changed.

that is quite weird. You would need to reinstall with uefi enabled to use the uefi mode because it uses a completely different partition layout. I would recommend you backup, enable uefi and install 8.1 fresh
