W510 Touchpad Problems

Anyone have any luck with drivers and this thing?  I see some old threads about it being flaky, did anyone resolve this?  I see it could be a hardware issue, but I'd like to see if someone found a driver that works.  I took mine apart and found the model was a Synaptics 920-001105-01RevA TM1191, but I'm still not havng any luck with drivers.  I'd like to just get the Synaptics Software to load and see the device, so I can turn off tap to click and try to adjust the sensitivity/possible multi-touch.  A lot of 32bit drivers I find with a full blown Synaptics installer either does not work at all or when going to the mouse properties the Synaptics tab shows no device.  Right now I'm using an Asus tablet driver which seems a little better, but still no software to turn off tap to click.

    Carini,

It looks like you have went through a lot of troubleshooting on your own but for this issue we recommend contacting technical support for this as it sounds like a hardware issue.
