I don't have any issues with the stability of the connection, but I noticed who the reception is not as strength as mine galaxy note 2 or Ipad and the wifi strength bar always reports the max power, but isn't true.
I have tried both version of the wifi drivers, without any change.
I have installed a clean version of windows 8 pro, anybody know where i can find the installer of the acer ring?

I have installed the .227 drivers, and for the first time since owning the w700, ( bought at the beginning of January), I now have decent reception in my bedroom which is the furthest point from the router, (approximately 75 feet with several partitions in the wat, one of which is concrete block). Prior to the .227 driver, (.217, .217v3, .218, .221, .222, .225, which btw was the worst of the lot), I can now finally use my w700 in the bedroom to stream movies and music!

I had opened a service case with acer, and was going to send it in, but as the service case is good for a month, I am going to hold off, and see if the vast improvement I am experiencing with the .227 drivers lasts.

The .227 drivers is for the wireless card only, not the Bluetooth suite. I uninstalled the acer Bluetooth Qualcomm suite, and am using the windows updated Qualcomm Bluetooth driver. So far so good........

I downloaded the .227 drivers from this site http://station-drivers.com/page/atheros.htm

it's towards the bottom of the page.  you can also download past drivers such as 221, 222, 225, as well as 9.2.0.514 and 9.2.0.496.

The download speeds are rather speedy as well

as an update on the .227 driver.  I have the w700 with me today at the office, and am currently successfully streaming cnn live news stream from a router that is 145 feet away with 4 bars shown on the icon.  all this while using a bluetooth mouse and the keyboard paired and connected.

this is something that was impossible prior to installing the .227 driver.......
