I am headed out the door, but I'll check when I get back.

I believe it was the 217 revision before the v3 came out this January. However, on my frends 6607, the v3 worked, too.

The BIOS update doesn't fix the connection speed issue when far away from the router

UPDATE: Just had a limited connectivity about 5 minutes after the post below
I will not post again until the v218 drivers are available and I can test them out for a couple days. I only have 18 days left before my return window expires with Amazon.
ORIGINAL POST: I have measured the file transfer speed between the tablet and another wireless pc on my home network. I transferred a pictures and videos folder that is 319 MB with 41 files.
3 feet from the router, the files transferred at a maximum rate of 5.38 MB/s, with an average of around 4.20 MB/s.
I then started the transfer again and walked down the street on the sidewalk until the wireless signal was lost. I was approximately 150 feet from the router and not in direct line of sight (two neighbors houses were in the way). I began to step back toward my house until the file transfer started again. There the files transferred at a maximum of 307 KB/s, with an average of around 160 KB/s.
I am streaming audio through BT now, typing with the BT keyboard, and have not had a WiFi connectivity issue since updating the firmware yesterday.
I sure hope this is it. I really want to keep this W700-6465. I really like it ![]()

By firmware, do you mean the new BIOS posted or the v3 Wifi drivers?

I am using BIOS release 1/08/13 and 217v3 WiFi drivers. But just had limited connectivity on WiFi. I revised my previous post.

Thanks for the update. This is frustrating. I'm even closer to my return window. Argh, let's hope for 218 soon, with improved capabilities. This device, while I absolutely love it to death, has the worst reception issues of any device I've ever owned. Even my three year old blu-ray player with a garbage wifi adapter built in holds a much stronger signal than this ![]()

Update notes on the new bios would be nice - but I guess ACER is keeping that a secret.
