Hello all,

I'm looking to reinstall the original Synaptic driver. So I need the restore napplications and drivers option.

I go into charms > Click Acer Recovery Management > "Yess" to UAC > NOTHING

Tried

C:\Program Files\Acer\Acer eRecovery Management\ercoveryUI.exe > NNOTHING

C:\Program Files\Acer\Acer eRecovery Management\ercoveryMain.exe > NNOTHING

Any ideas as to where I can download the Recovery Management again or repair it?

Many thanks in advance

Why don't you create a DVD backup of your applications and drivers like acer recommends?

I guess you might as well create a USB factory default backup recovery drive while you're at it.

I suppose you could get your synaptic driver here:

You can still create a USB factory default recovery drive even though your Acer Recovery Software is busted.

But as far as your individual drivers, you'll have to go to Acer downloads to get them since you didn't make a backup of your drivers and applications prior to the Acer Recovery Managment software breaking.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

That is an updated driver that has signature problems. I would like the original.

    Hi and thanks,

I only got the laptop y'day and when it had finished updating Windows and Acer stuff (Auto) the damage was done.

Yeah, sorry. My reading comprehension was poor. Smiley Wink

i had the same thing happen on one of my Acer computers.  I just went ahead and backed up my files, and did a factory default reset.....and started over.  It hasn't disappeared since.
