I am using Windows 8.1 on Aspire E5-552G and the camera app has stopped working all of a sudden, with the following error message; "Looks like there is something wrong with your camera. Check the manufacturer's website for more info".

Does anyone have a solution?

In this case, it is recommended to reinstall camera software and drivers and see if that helps. You can reinstall this using the installation disc that you may have got with the camera. Else, you can go to the respective manufacturer's website for the same.

If reinstalling software and drivers does not help, you can perform System Restore to restore your system back to a point in time when the camera was working fine. To do this, refer to the section "Restore your PC to an earlier point in time" on the following link:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

    Hope this will help you.
