when my mum pressed "o" it would type "9o"

so my first defense was to clean some keys. But it soon started to spread like wild fire and as a result most of the keys in the top right weren't working including numbers and F keys, backspace ...etc.

So i read to turn off, take out the battery, push on/off for 1 minute, put battery in and start up.

I did this but instead was met with the Insydeh20 Setup Utility screen

What do i do? What have I done? It is entirely possible while cleaning the keys we may have meddled with some settings as we weren't looking at what was happening on the screen while we mashed keys. Did we fry the hard drive?! I feel so bad, NOTHING was backed up...i would like to go forth with solutions that wont wipe anything possible.

TIA

    Hi

I did this but instead was met with the Insydeh20 Setup Utility screen

This is what it says 'setup'. navigate thru and try to accept default settings.

    if in doubt please ask.
